We did it! Gideon and I took our first flight and I'm happy to report almost everything went well. Watch my video and see what I learned about flying with a newborn.

Note: The safest way for babies to travel on an airplane is in a car seat, strapped to the plane seat belt (just as you would in your car). Of course, to do this, you'll have to buy your baby a ticket but some airlines will offer you a discount on that seat.

Great advice about boarding last. Even as a mom of a 13 year old... I can still remember those stinky looks from other passengers.. and it was really nerve-wracking. In fact, I've been guilty of giving them, so it was a great reminder to remember that we're all in the same boat (or plane in this case) as parents.

Wow Gwynn what a cutie in his tuxedo shirt!! He seems very well behaved (especially when he's sleeping). I'm glad to hear your trip went well!

It's a little hard to hear tho...

BTW, love that you did this in video. It's so awesome to actually see you. More! More!

LOL - very good tips. I travel with a few kid now and it can get very hairy.

You're a brave woman! My child is almost 3 and I'm still afraid to take him on a flight.

Soooooooo glad your trip went well. He's such a cutey. I completely agree about boarding last!! Can be a nightmare otherwise.
