FDA Office of Women’s Health: Leading Efforts to Improve the Health of Women
The FDA Office of Women’s Health has evolved over the years into a robust scientifically sophisticated resource internal and external to FDA. The Office builds its scientific, educational, and consumer information programs on the foundational principle of Sex as a Biological Variable (SABV) and its contribution to the unique health needs of women.
Their training and educational programs are designed to engage FDA product reviewers, scientists and consumers to better understand the evaluation and application of SABV to their work and ultimately their health.
